What is the ArtCloud and Artsy integration?

The ArtCloud and Artsy integration connects your ArtCloud account to your Artsy account, allowing you to sync inventory data between the two platforms. Learn more about the partnership with Artsy, and read the official press release here.

What ArtCloud subscription do I need to use the Artsy integration?

The Artsy integration requires a legacy Manager Pro or Pro Plus subscription, or a new Manager Professional or Expert subscription. To upgrade your subscription, visit the Subscription page in Account Settings or contact support@artcloud.com with questions.

How do I connect my ArtCloud and Artsy accounts?

Should I upload new inventory to both my ArtCloud and Artsy accounts?

No. After connecting your ArtCloud and Artsy accounts, send new ArtCloud inventory to Artsy and sync updates from ArtCloud. Syncing inventory from ArtCloud keeps your data consistent and up to date in both platforms.

What data syncs from ArtCloud to Artsy?

ArtCloud syncs the inventory data entered on ArtCloud Inventory Records to corresponding fields in Artsy. Note that Artsy has required fields that ArtCloud doesn't. After syncing inventory to Artsy, fill in any missing fields in your Artsy account.

Does new inventory in ArtCloud automatically sync to my integrated Artsy account?

No. ArtCloud gives you control over which inventory items sync to Artsy. Manage what inventory syncs to Artsy in the Marketplace/Website tab on ArtCloud Inventory Records. Learn more here.

Why isn't automatic linking working?

Automatic linking in Account Settings requires an exact match between the artist name and inventory title in both platforms. An extra space, different punctuation, or any other small difference will prevent items from linking automatically. Use manual linking to connect any items that didn't link automatically. Can I batch send ArtCloud inventory to Artsy?

No. You can only send ArtCloud inventory to Artsy one by one from Inventory Records. To add multiple records to Artsy at once, export your ArtCloud inventory as a CSV and import it into your Artsy account. Read more about importing to Artsy here: Artsy Bulk Import.

Can I unlink Inventory from Artsy?

Yes. Use the "Unlink" button on the Marketplace/Website tab in ArtCloud Inventory Records.

What happens if I update inventory directly in Artsy?

Changes made in Artsy won't sync back to ArtCloud. ArtCloud is the source of truth for inventory data. Make all updates in ArtCloud and sync the changes to Artsy from the ArtCloud Inventory Record.

What happens in ArtCloud when I sell on Artsy?

When linked inventory sells in Artsy, ArtCloud automatically

  • Generates an invoice with the linked inventory and buyer.

  • Assigns the invoice an origin tag "Artsy E-Commerce."

  • Creates or updates a Contact Record for the buyer with an origin tag "Artsy."

  • Changes the linked inventory's status to Sold, marks it inactive, and updates the location to "Sold to [contact name]."

Where should I manage my data?

ArtCloud is the source of truth for your inventory, contact, and sales data. Make all updates in ArtCoud and sync changes to Artsy.
