Add a Cookie Banner
Follow two steps to add a cookie banner on your ArtCloud website: enable the banner in the website settings and edit the cookie banner template.
1. Enable the banner.
Navigate to Website >> Settings >> Privacy.
The Cookie Banner toggle defaults to off. Turn on the "Show the cookie banner?" toggle to enable the banner.
Note: If you were using the old cookie banner, switching to this new banner will replace the old banner.
2. Edit the cookie banner template.
Navigate to Website >> Pages >> Resource Templates. Open the Cookie Policy template, make any design changes, and save.
Note: Changes to the cookie banner may take 10 minutes to update on the live website.
What Does a Cookie Banner Do?
The cookie banner allows site visitors to accept or reject cookies. Visitors can select their preferences. Essential cookies turn on when the visitor accepts cookies. Visitors can also decide to allow or reject functional, analytics, or marketing cookies.
Customers are responsible for their own privacy policy according to their local laws and regulations.
Do You Need a Cookie Banner?
If your website has visitors from certain locations - including the UK and EU - you may be required to show a cookie banner. This gives visitors clear control to accept or decline tracking (such as marketing, analytics, and functionality cookies) that isn't strictly necessary for your website to run.
As the owner of your website, you're responsible for ensuring it meets applicable cookie and privacy laws for your visitors. If a cookie consent requirement applies to your site, we recommend setting this up.
Our banner covers the Google Analytics, Meta and Pinterest tracking cookies that you can configure through ArtCloud settings. The banner does not cover any other cookies that you add to your site yourself.
