Pieces can be temporarily sent to the ArtCloud account of a gallery that you would like to consign pieces with using Outbound Consignments. To create an Outbound Consignment, there are two workflows you can follow:
1.) Through a QuickList
Hover over the Inventory tab in the ArtCloud Manager side of ArtCloud, and click on the QuickLists page. There, you can click the Create QuickList dropdown in the top-right of the screen and select the Third Party Consignment option.
2.) Through the Consignment page
Hover over the Inventory tab in the ArtCloud Manager side of ArtCloud, and click on the Consignment page. There, you can click the Create Consignment dropdown in the top-right of the screen and select the Third Party Consignment option.
Following either of these options will display a Consignment creation popup.
Set the Title and Contact for the Consignment
Here, you'll need to enter the Title of the Consignment, and the Start and End Dates.
You'll also need to specify the Contact in question that this Consignment is going to. This contact can either be an Artist Profile or a Contact Record so long as the email in that record is connected to their ArtCloud account.
Set the Consignment terms
Finally, you'll need to set the terms of your Consignment. These are the general terms on which your Consignment is being made. You can set a default for these terms.
Sending off the Consignment
Once you've created your Consignment list of inventory, set terms for the Artist, and associated your Contact to the Consignment list, you can then directly send the Consignment List from this Overlay using the Send Email button:
An email will be generated with the Consignment Agreement attached to the email for easier sending.
Once the consignment has been sent off, the included Inventory records will automatically be marked inactive and the location will be updated to indicate that is on consignment.
